I'm going to start to link a few to the idea of the word Robots as a theme and show, how i came to believe that the only reason Robotics is such a big thing our days is because some of the most talented people greatest minds brought it to life, through the visuals with not only there ideas but there concepts of what the word Robot really means and is and how they incorporated it into the image. 

posters, advertising, movie covers, cd covers and paintings, toys, computers and game consoles etc. I'm pretty sure a majority of people of the 20th Century art world brought it to life....

If you ask me, i believe it all started when people started reading books like Pinocchio

You must be thinking by now. Why has he mentioned this for because it has nothing to do with the 20th Century. Don't be fooled its a means to the cause 

Even though this fairy tale was about a wooden boy doesn't mean the idea wasn't there already in peoples minds. Don't you think...

The 20th century was the stage for some of the greatest modern artists in history. Except for Impressionism, it witnessed all the influential movements of modern art (modernism)
